About me
Carly Mansfield is a dedicated Gifted Specialist at the Kirkwood School District, bringing over 20 years of teaching experience to her role. She has taught elementary education, middle school social studies, served as a building STEM coordinator, and now focuses on gifted education. Carly holds a Master’s Degree in Gifted Education from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Saint Louis University.
Her expertise encompasses Dabrowski's overexcitabilities, twice exceptionality, the social-emotional health of gifted learners, and STEM education. Carly is passionate about fostering academic excellence and nurturing the unique potential of gifted students. She works diligently to create inclusive environments that address their distinct needs, ensuring they receive both support and challenges necessary to thrive.
Carly’s dedication to her students' academic and emotional well-being is a cornerstone of her educational philosophy. Outside of her professional life, Carly enjoys a fulfilling personal life. She has been married to her loving husband for ten years, and they have two beautiful children, George and Josie.
