About me
Dawnette Dierking Wiskur is currently the Coordinator of Professional Learning for the Rockwood School District, a suburban Missouri school district with 22,000 students. Ms. Wiskur began her teaching career in education teaching middle and high school language arts for nine years, before transitioning to elementary school for the next eight years. During this time, she was also selected as a Missouri STARR teacher and presented on a variety of topics through the Missouri Regional Professional Development Center at Missouri S & T University. In 2014, after eighteen years in the classroom Dawnette began working for the Rockwood School District as the Coordinator of Language Arts, 6-12 and Libraries, K-12 before moving to her current role in Professional Learning. Dawnette manages the district's new teacher & mentor training, in addition to providing professional learning on current, research-based instructional practices.
